Hey there! I created this template to match my own language learning journey and to help others learning their second or even third language. Please feel free to adjust the sections to your liking. I adapted this template from Ramenstudie (link provided below). While I personally used Duolingo to learn French, I have also included other resources that I found helpful. However, this is not an exhaustive guide, so if there are other resources that you have found enjoyable, please feel free to add them!

For Learners just learning for Fun who aren’t pressed for time 🦉
This has been my disposition and with this comes less pressure. You have to select a daily tool such as Duolingo for interaction with the language. If you are using Duolingo here are a few tips: 🦉
- Finish the daily quests
- Read along with every exercise out loud (every last one)
- Staying competitive in the leaderboards and keeping the streak will help you maintain a habit
- Don’t play the weekly challenge as a means of practice. Only supplement your lessons with them.
- Use the speaking exercises a lot more than others when you first begin
- To improve your language skills, find resources that offer correct pronunciation, such as YouTube videos or podcasts for learners. Start with shorter content and build up from there. I recommend this even if Duolingo already has good speech in your chosen course.
- Get immersed in the language as quickly as possible. watch films in it (with subs) and short clips over and over then say what they say.
- Use platforms like HelloTalk or any means to speak with natives (I used twitter sometimes)
- Find shortcuts and connections to your mother tongue if they exist
